Weeks have already passed since the end of our last camps and we've been still silent - for one very simple Reason. Sometimes there are no words to say Thank You. So many meaningful things happened, so many Inspirations have been shared that left us speechless. Just what can we say? Sometimes it takes time to process it all.

We hosted Volunteers from six countries and three continents, with Gambia being the most exotic destination. The age of participants was also very variable, with the youngest being 18 years old Biology student and the oldest being a retired helicopter pilot. Because of the inclusiveness of the Teams we had so much to share!

Winter from USA told us many stories about her bird ringing internship in Belize. Dorothea from Germany shared her experience from Migrating Raptor Counts in Georgia and Azerbaijan. Peter from UK shared many memories from his service in the Army as well as volunteering in RSPB and working as a pilot in Australia with fire brigades fighting the bushfires.

The second camp was all-female and very international, featuring a unique sisterhood atmosphere! Astrid shared her experience as a bird ringing trainee in Belgium so that we could compare the research methods, bird extraction techniques, species composition as well as different stages of training to become a ringer. Lana was a perfect source of information about work in more exotic destinations, like Honduras and Fiji. Awa told us a lot about her work in West African Bird Study Association and challenges met by female biologists in the Gambia - we had an opportunity to get a glimpse of a whole different world.

Every one of us contributed her unique quality to the project and together we formed a creative, multi-dimensional whole. Women of different Nationalities, languages, experiences and walks of Life united by their common Passion and common Goal - to protect the Wildlife and its wonders. To be a Part of Something Bigger.
