Last Bird Ringing Camps of 2017 Season!

Two last Autumn bird ringing ringing camps successfully ended our intensive 2017 Season.

We've done a lot. We've helped to ring hundreds of migrating birds, some of them we haven't seen or extracted before. We've seen almost 100 bird species during one camp and captured and processed even more. We've done this together.

Every single camp is an unique discovery and leaves us enriched and transformed. We share our field experiences, research knowledge as well as life stories. We share our languages (even Ancient Egyptian this year thanks to Steph!) and learn from each other. We've swapped stories from Australian Outback, Malta, Canadian wilderness, pristine forests of Madagascar and Gabon, Malawi, UAE, the North and South Pole...

Many thanks from Wild Areas Network to Participants from France, Germany and across UK - RSPB and BTO Members and Trainees, National Trust Volunteers and Scottish Wildlife Trust Assistant Rangers who took part in our project.
